Q: Which FinMatch Service is right for me?

Whether you sell to consumers (B2C) or businesses (B2B) we recommend our Standard Account for merchants implementing finance for the first time. Standard Account includes the FinMatch App, a lender account, and everything you need to offer finance to your customers.

Our Performance Account is perfect if you want to improve your existing setup or introduce new finance options to boost your acceptance rates.

If you sell to consumers and businesses from an ecommerce website, then we recommend Hybrid. As part of this service we carefully optimise for dual audiences.

Q: Do I need to be FCA authorised?

A: If you’re a B2C merchant offering consumer finance, such as 0% finance for up to 12 months, you may not need direct FCA authorisation. However, to unlock a wider range of consumer finance options, FCA authorisation is required. Alternatively, one of our partner lenders offers an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) option, allowing you to provide finance under their regulatory umbrella without direct authorisation. For B2B merchants, FCA regulations typically don’t apply.

With FinMatch FCA Assist, UK businesses can become FCA authorised quickly and efficiently for just £1,249, with our team handling your application, regulatory business plan, and permissions to maximise your finance offerings.

Q: I’m new to Finance. How long will it take?

A: The key tasks are:

1) Signup for FinMatch
2) Create an action plan (we do this for you).
3) Lender(s) account setup (we’ll manage this).
4) If required, get FCA authorised (we can do this for you too).
5) Integrate finance on your website (using the FinMatch App).
6) Promote your new finance offers effectively (this is covered in the action plan)

As a rough guide, with FinMatch support, it’s possible to implement a new finance solution in a few days. Getting FCA authorised can take a couple of months or longer. We always try and find a way to get you started quickly and we’ll guide you through every step of the process. We’re entrepreneurs too and we like moving at pace. Q: How much does it cost to offer finance as a payment option?

A: The cost of implementing finance varies depending on your setup. Think of it as a marketing investment to boost sales and attract customers. Here’s a clear breakdown:

FinMatch Fee: From £44/month. Includes account setup and a FinMatch App licence, enabling dynamic finance offer displays on one website.

Finance Subsidies: Some credit products (e.g., 0% interest-free) include a merchant subsidy fee. We’ll help you select lenders and products that align with your sales goals. Interest-bearing products typically have no subsidy.

Integration: Free checkout integration for most major e-commerce platforms.

FCA Authorisation: If you’re not FCA-authorised, our FCA Assist service costs £1,249 to handle your application, including regulatory business plan preparation. A one-time FCA application fee (e.g., £550 for Limited Permissions Category 2, Secondary Credit Broking) also applies.

Other Costs: Bespoke or complex integrations may incur development costs, which we’ll identify upfront for informed decisions.
